Over 2000 names, full indexing, cd-rom accompanies book, Special price until January 30, 2003. $20. Darrel Ellis didn't really mean to write this book. He was in his "other" house up Webber Canyon in search of some photos and a hug book of his mother's, fell off the top shelf and bonked him on the head. Across the floor were scattered hundreds and hundreds of obituaries and notes Fern Decker Ellis had written and saved through the years, in hopes of somebody writing a book about the Mancos Valley cemeteries. As Darrel was down on his hands and knees picking up the papers, he heard his mother's voice saying, "Well, Darrel, it's about time you got to this project". So on October 22, Darrel started the book and on November 23, he finished! The next edition will include hundreds of detailed listings provided by families and obituary material he has gathered since the first appearance of the book on Thanksgiving, 2002. $30 (includes shipping
